Ideal Bleeding Heart Tetra Conditions

Appearance

This is another species of colorful tropical freshwater fish. They have transparent to silver bodies with a red dot on both sides of the body just behind the head. The dorsal fin is also very distinctive, black with a white tip and pointing sharply towards the back.

Their body shape is very much the same as the Black and White Widow Tetra, especially the anal fin although it is not as prominent as with the Widow Tetra.

Strata

They keep to the middle to bottom parts of the tank, are very active but in a peaceful manner.

Peaceful, Community

They will not bother their tank mates but stick together and play with each other so they are excellent for a community aquarium setup.
